This project was developed using jacquard fabric and repurposed industrial socks. I chose to inhabit the world of Avatar because it imagines a reality in which matter retains memory. Pandora is not merely a landscape but a living organism, where every interaction leaves a trace and every fragment remains connected to a larger whole. The piece explores what contemporary systems separate, discard, and render invisible. Industrial socks—objects often destined to become waste before ever fulfilling their purpose—are transformed into material witnesses of overproduction and consumption. Reclaimed and reimagined, these orphaned fragments are given a new presence and meaning through textile construction. Through transformation, discarded matter becomes a carrier of memory, inviting reflection on the relationship between waste, value, and regeneration.
